Fall is not only bringing cooler weather but also a bevy of design events and a few good reasons to partake in a little fun (all work no play lately?)...don't forget to squeeze in the AIA Tour coming up in the next couple of weeks that I previously posted about as well...

Next Thursday the Design District's notable Dragon St. showrooms will be opening their doors and hosting their annual Design on Dragon event from 6-9. (Rain Date Nov. 12) Be sure to stop in at some of my favorite's Pittet Architectual, Antique Floors and say hi to Sha Sha at Inessa Stewart's Antiques who can find what you are looking for pulling from an inventory of 3 different locations throughout Dallas and Baton Rouge and containers on the boat from Europe from Inessa's latest shopping trip.
For a good cause...
Halloween night....
Instead of donning a tacky French maid's costume for the 4th year in a row (no offense if any of you have...) throw something glam and luxe on (think more in the lines of a Venetian Masquerade maybe or a Renaissance vampire - homage to Twilight/New Moon - I am sure we will be seeing a lot of those - see below) and get your haunt on at the "fright fete" - namely downtown Dallas' hautest Halloween Bash. Ghoulishly glam costume contest entries to be judged by Modern Luxury Dallas' editor in chief Stacy Girad on Oct. 31 @ Fashion Industry Gallery 1807 Ross Ave. $100 Buy tickets here...Some ideas...don't steal mine - be ORIGINAL, okay I know your saying"How original is a vampire?!" but they're so fun to be for one night!
Don't you love Halloween - it's my favorite holiday!
